First and foremost, thanks to everyone who came out and kicked it with us for the Grand Re-Opening. Me, Javon, and the rest of the Me Phi crew appreciate all the support you guys give us and can't thank you enough. Special shout out to the staff - Grizelle, Mo Fresh, Mario, and Curtis for all their help getting the store ready. We'd also like to thank The Fresh Fiends - La, Summer, and Christina, David Lewis, Jeremy Green, and DJ Chill for helping make the event a success. Below is a couple pics from photog Lamar Langston who was nice enough to come by and shoot the event for us. You can see more at his site - www.lamarlangston.com.
I'd also like to thank my girl and the ultimate jack of all trades, Mazie. She has helped in every facet of the business and made my job much easier. Her help has been invaluable. Last and certainly not least, I wanna thank my brothers of Me Phi for being the best friends anyone could ask for. Without you guys none of this would be possible.
We finished setting up the shop and are anxious to open up the doors to the new Me Phi. It was a lot of hard work but we're surrounded by a great team of people who helped get us to this point. We're confident that you guys will love the new space and hopefully we'll see you tomorrow night for the kickoff celebration! Also, the after-party will be at Suede in Old Town Scottsdale. If anyone has any questions or needs directions hit us up at info@me-phi.com.
P.S. - Some people have asked where they should park for the opening. My best suggestion is the public parking lot right behind our store, between 5th and 6th street. It's on Maple Ave - the first hour is free and it's only $1.00 each additional hour. After you park just walk a block up either 5th or 6th then turn onto Mill and we're between Divaz and Cookies.
Never thought I'd live to see this day come...... the New Orleans Saints are in the motha effin Super Bowl! Below is just one of the many emails I received from friends back home before the Minnesota game:
"Our Drew, who art in New Orleans, hallowed be thy name, thy bowl will come, it will be won, in Miami, as it is in the Dome. Give us this next game, our weekly win and give us many touchdown passes, but do not let others pass against us. Lead us not into frustration, but deliver us to the Super Bowl. AMEN!"
This should be a great game with the Saints high-powered offense taking on quite possibly the best QB to ever play. We'd also like to send a special congrats to the homie and long time friend D Sharp. Do ya thing next Sunday fam!!!
