The word "Epic" is misused constantly but it's really the only thing I could think of when I saw the crowd at this concert. Hov brings out Kanye to do "Run This Town" in front of what looks like a small continent.

Jay and Joell go IN on this song. Jean Grae does her thing too.
"Remember when the levee scream, made the folks evacuees
Yeah, I'm still speakin about it 'cause New Orleans ain't clean
When we shout Dirty South, I don't think that is what we mean
I mean, it mean the rough, the tough, the dangerous, we reign supreme"
This song has been on repeat for the past 3 weeks. Peep his mixtape if you haven't already..... he's THAT dude. *Bonus - he's from Louisiana.*
"That's why when you talk that tough talk I neva feel ya/
you sound real good, you play your part well/
but the energy you giving off is so unfamiliar/
I don't feel ya, we need something realer
This is one of my favorite tracks off his album.
Lupe is that dude. Top 3 alive in my opinion. His new mixtape, Enemy of the State, dropped last week and has been getting non stop play on my Ipod ever since. Below is a link to the mixtape as well as a link to the lyrics. To appreciate Lupe's talent it helps to know exactly what he's saying and sometimes you can't catch everything while listening. Enjoy and stay tuned because Lupe has another mixtape planned to drop on Christmas day.
I was starting to lose faith in Wayne....... the mumbling/singing and his obsessive use of auto-tune was beginning to annoy me. Thankfully he dropped "No Ceilings" and is back to his Mixtape Weezy status.
Counting down the days till Blueprint 3 drops.
Video is funny, reminds me a lot of his early singles like Real Slim Shady and My Name Is. I'm anxious to hear the album........ hoping it's more Marshall Mathers LP than Encore.
Had the Ipod on shuffle and 4 Pac songs came on in a row. ALL CLASSICS. I felt like posting this just to remind everyone who was the greatest to do this. If you feel someone else is the best ever - BIG, Jay, Nas, etc., I can't knock them but I'ma roll with Mr. Shakur - all day long.
Smile - Scarface ft. Tupac
Every now and then we'll post what's playing in our shop at one particular moment. And right now it's Drake with "Congratulations".
"My reality is brighter than your dreams are, I got your dream girl ridin in your dream car"........dude is doin his thing right now.
Our friends over at The Fresh Fiends beat me to the punch and posted this video earlier today. Shout out to Asher, Steve Rifkind, Tami Chynn, Shontelle, and everyone else at SRC.......what up Kels! Click here for more on SRC records and it's owner, Steve Rifkind.
Here's an earlier video from Asher.
Without question, one of the greatest storytelling tracks ever. From 1996-1999 I listened to this song every day.....and even today it is the most played song on my Ipod.
