The word "Epic" is misused constantly but it's really the only thing I could think of when I saw the crowd at this concert. Hov brings out Kanye to do "Run This Town" in front of what looks like a small continent.

Cudi, 'Ye, and Common chop it up over a bare bones version of Lady GaGa's "Poker Face".  Enjoy!

Kanye jumped on Beyonce's latest single 'Ego' and the remix has been floating about for the last few weeks. He decided to take it to the next level (and show off his LV kicks) by shooting a vid for his part.

Now I'm off to scour American Apparel for a shiny/sequin-y/mermaid-ish leotard.

By featuring the HellZ 'So Lolita' Summer '09 look book on his blog Mr. West once again proves that his genius extends beyond sick beats and professional spotlight hogging.

And we all know 'Ye is the 'voice of a generation' so it's best to just obey him and come down to Me-Phi so you can cop these before they're all gone. :)

Check out the rest of the 'So Lolita' look book here.

Happy Mothers Day!!

Our moms are everything to us - women who are stronger than we could ever be and more amazing than words can describe.  They are our heroes and the reason we are here today.  Being a mom is easily the toughest job in the world so to all the mothers out there...... Happy Mothers Day!!!!!  Enjoy YOUR day...... b/c you definitely deserve it.

No Matter What - You'll Never Take That From Me...

The NBA made the savvy move to use Kanye's "Amazing" as the official song of the 2009 NBA Playoffs. They released this commercial/mash-up showing memorable moments from past Playoff appearances of this year's contenders and set to Ye's drums.

This is a less obvious anthem than some of his past songs ('Can't Tell Me Nothin'' for example) but the steady insistent beat combined with the determination in his voice and lyrics makes it the perfect fit for the Playoff Campaign.

What's G.O.O.D - Kid Cudi does Complex Mag

Posted by Mazeratie On Tuesday, March 17, 2009 0 comments

Complex did a lil' spot on Kid Cudi a.k.a. Scott Mescudi. The 25-year old hails from Cleveland but set out for the Big Apple at the age of 20. Now he's signed with Kanye and working on his debut LP.  Regarding the Midwest music scene Cudi had this to say:

“You know what the East Coast sounds like. Ohio doesn’t really have an identity. That’s one of my goals: to establish that Midwest shit. The melodies play a powerful part because they really hit people and give you that catchy feel, like Bone Thugs and Nelly.”

Kanye West - Fader Interview

Posted by Mazeratie On Monday, December 08, 2008 0 comments
Kanye West recently sat down with Fader Magazine for an indepth interview about the changes his been through this past year, his latest album, and the stigma attached to being labeled "pop".

FADER 58: Kanye West Cover Story and Interview
Kanye West cover story 1
In FADER #20, that was in there. Everything that you’re doing now was budding in that story.

I was saying it from the gate: I’m into Louis Vuitton, I wanna be pop. I spent my whole check on those two bags I wore for those pictures. Those are some of my best pictures, other than having a really bad haircut. Now, the only thing is pop. I really like popular culture. I’m all about Walt Disney, Coca-Cola, Louis Vuitton, Nike. I want people to remember me the way they know Nike, that level of impact. Who was the last person who really had it like that? When I was a kid, it seems like there was a lot of great pop music. There was George Michael, Michael Jackson.
